The Animal shelters need our help more than ever...
Escondido shelter is a great place to volunteer...go thru' the orientation...then you can walk the dogs up in the hills, get a GREAT workout...
you can read to them, give them love treatments, massage them, play with the kitties, clean their cages - just help - it feels good and they need it. With the economy so crap - it's time to give back....this is an especially great way to get some doggie time if you cannot have a pet yourself for whatever reason(s).

It's really fun...not that heart breaking b/c you know that you are making a difference, a dent in an other-wise really sad existence. This is one of the TOUGHEST times in history for animal
abandon and shelters, they need all the help they can receive....don't rely on other people to do it, get involved if you can.....
